Framed Palisade Gates

All our framed palisade gates have a 70mm thick framework with traditional mortice and tenon joints which are glued and screwed for added strength. the rails at the bak are 38mm thick and the pales on the face are 32mm thick, all boards are glued and screwed to the framework. On softwood (unsorted redwood) doors all screw holes etc are filled with a good quality wood filler then sanded smooth ready for treatment. Softwood (unsorted redwood) doors will be supplied treated with a base coat of preservative only (further treatment is required) and hardwood doors are supplied untreated.
